The 13th edition of the annual report was launched on World Happiness Day, as designated by the United Nations on March 20th.

The report is based on Gallup survey data from over 140 countries, and the countries' rankings are determined by their average life evaluations over the past three years, between 2022 and 2024.

Participants are asked to rate their lives as a whole, and the rankings are based on those life evaluations.

The report also examines six key factors contributing to life evaluations: GDP per capita, social support, healthy life expectancy, freedom, generosity, and perceptions of corruption.

**Happiness in Arab Countries**

The United Arab Emirates ranked first in the Arab world (21st globally), followed by Kuwait (30th), Saudi Arabia (32nd), Oman (52nd), and Bahrain (59th).

Jordan ranked 128th globally, Egypt 135th, Yemen 140th, and Lebanon 145th, placing among the bottom four Arab countries in the list.

**Happiest Countries**

When it comes to happiness, Nordic countries are leading in many areas, with Finland being the happiest country for the eighth year in a row, followed directly by its neighboring countries.

Ilana Ron Levy, the CEO of Gallup, noted, "Nordic countries, like Finland, continue to benefit from healthcare and educational systems linked to high-quality social support. Additionally, the level of inequality in well-being is low among citizens."

Finland, Denmark, Iceland, and Sweden remain the top four countries on the list, in the same order as in 2024. Norway also maintained its position at 7th place.
