AMMAN — The Ministry of Health announced that the number of
COVID-19 deaths reached 99 on Friday. Meanwhile, 4,774 new cases were
recorded in the Kingdom on the same day, bringing the death toll to 7,039 and
the caseload to 622,833.

The ministry said that 2,025 cases were recorded in Amman, 813 in Irbid,
including 121 in Ramtha, 586 in Zarqa, 268 in Balqa, 194 in Mafraq, 185 in
Karak, 184 in Aqaba, 154 in Madaba, 135 in Ajloun, 110 in Jerash, 74 in Maan, including
17 in the Petra region, and 46 in Tafileh.
The ministry added in a statement that some 348 people had recovered and were
discharged from hospitals while 389 others were admitted, as the total number
of COVID-19 patients in hospitals stands at 3,287. The number of active
COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stood at around 90,091, the statement noted, as
cited by the Jordan News Agency (Petra).
More than 5,205 COVID-19 patients, including patients who had been
self-isolating, fully recovered. Around 13.63 percent of the 35,034 COVID-19 tests that were conducted Friday came
back positive, compared with 13.43 percent on Thursday.
