A new study has shown that limiting coffee consumption to the morning may lead to significant health benefits and reduce the risk of death.

According to Psychology Today, the study analyzed data from over 41,000 adults, examining what they ate and drank throughout the day, including the timing of their coffee consumption.اضافة اعلان

The researchers classified the participants into three groups: the first group consisted of those who drink coffee primarily in the morning, the second group included those who spread their coffee consumption throughout the day, and the third group included those who do not drink coffee at all.

The team then tracked the participants' health data over the next ten years to determine whether the timing of coffee consumption affected their health.

During that period, over 4,200 participants passed away, including about 1,270 due to cardiovascular diseases and 930 due to cancer.

The researchers found that those who drank coffee in the morning were 16% less likely to die prematurely from various causes compared to those who did not drink coffee at all.

Morning coffee drinkers were also 31% less likely to die from heart diseases compared to non-coffee drinkers.

However, the risk of death did not significantly decrease for those who drank coffee throughout the day compared to those who didn’t drink it. In other words, drinking coffee throughout the day did not offer any health benefits.

Additionally, the data showed that the more coffee consumed in the morning, the lower the risk of death. However, for those who drank coffee throughout the day, increasing consumption did not reduce this risk.

In summary, drinking more coffee is only beneficial in the morning.

The exact connection between morning coffee consumption and reduced death risk is not fully understood. However, the researchers suggest that morning coffee may better support the body’s natural sleep-wake cycle.

Caffeine later in the day is likely to disrupt the sleep-wake cycle, leading to increased blood pressure, inflammation, and a higher risk of heart disease.

Coffee is also known for its anti-inflammatory properties. Inflammation markers in the body naturally peak in the morning, so drinking coffee in the morning may reduce inflammation, according to the study.

Another study conducted last year mentioned that drinking three cups of coffee a day is linked to an increase in life expectancy by approximately two years.
