A tablespoon of cocoa contains 1 mg of iron, 6 mg of calcium, 26 mg of magnesium, 39 mg of phosphorus, and 135 mg of potassium. Additionally, cocoa contains selenium, zinc, folic acid, and vitamins E, B5, and B12. All these micronutrients are important for maintaining health and beauty, as some are involved in blood formation, others affect the functioning of the nervous system, some are essential for the proper functioning of the heart, help strengthen bones, and affect the condition of hair and skin. Cocoa is also an important source of polyunsaturated fats, which are beneficial for health."

According to her, cocoa powder contains polyphenols, natural chemical compounds with antioxidant properties. She says: "Antioxidants protect cells from the destructive effects of free radicals – molecules and atoms that are 'broken' and form inside the body or enter it with air, water, and food. Free radicals destroy healthy cells, provoke inflammation, and increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases and tumors. Many scientific studies show that polyphenols reduce inflammation and help normalize cholesterol levels."

According to the doctor, cocoa becomes "just a delicious treat" when heated, as it loses most of its beneficial plant compounds.

She adds: "A cup of hot cocoa helps relax and improve mood. However, it is important not to lose common sense and maintain balance, as cocoa is a high-calorie drink. When sugar or other sweet ingredients are added, its harm greatly outweighs the benefits. It may also not be suitable for people with overweight or diabetes. For the rest of the people, there are no definitive recommendations regarding the amount of cocoa to consume, but it is best to limit it to one or two cups a day."
