According to Dr. Nathan Davidoff, a neurology specialist, patients suffering from osteoporosis in the neck often complain of "sharp pain," with reduced movement ability in the shoulders and arms. In many cases, inflammation around the shoulder joint develops, leading to what is known as "vertebral artery syndrome," which impairs blood flow to the brain. This can be accompanied by dizziness, tinnitus, and weakness in vision and coordination.
The main cause of the development of osteoporosis is a sedentary lifestyle, staying in one position for long periods, such as when working on a computer or during long car trips. This increases the strain on the neck and lower back, leading to spine-related issues.
According to Davidoff, taking vitamin D is beneficial for treating cervical spondylosis. Additionally, using cartilage protectors that support the health of cartilage tissues is helpful. However, it's important to realize that medications are not a magic solution. To enhance their effect and effectiveness, it's necessary to engage in physical exercises and swimming.
On his part, Dr. Konstantin Makhinov points out that the pain syndrome in osteonecrosis (osteoporosis) can affect different parts of the body, such as the abdomen. Other atypical symptoms include a rise in body temperature.
