AMMAN — Game three of
Jordan’s American Football League will kicks off at Amman Baccalaureate’s field this weekend. The best performing team so far, the Amman Spartans, will face underdogs, the Amman Eagles, on Friday at 3pm in a highly anticipated game among the football community in Jordan.

In their first game, the Spartans found success in moving the ball and scoring, Spartans’ Yousef Bitar is arguably the best running back of the season this year, which makes Eagles’ job harder on defense. However, defensive guard, Ammar Kleib, is also an impact player on the field, with the size and skill set to intimidate running backs.
While the Eagles first game didn’t meet expectations, coach Dwayne and coach Jose have been working on a new structure for this week. Team captain Ahmad Abu Tarboush said that “after the week two loss, we came together as a team, and with the leadership of our coaches, we were able to identify our weaknesses and spend the week working on becoming better as one team.
We are motivated, and more confident this week.”
