AMMAN — The Amman Eagles beat the Amman Spartans
24–18 in the third round of
Jordan's American Football League.

The highly anticipated game took place on
Friday at the Amman Baccalaureate field, the competition was fierce, and both
teams scored every time they had the ball.
The end of the game was the most exciting one
in the season so far, as in the last 40 seconds, the Eagles were able to run
five successful offensive drives and win the game.
The league's logistics and game-day operations
manager, Abdullah Saleh, said: "This game was exciting even to the fans;
this is the first time we see this excitement and loudness coming from the
stadium. We are glad that the teams are gaining loyal fans over time. This
season will have a huge impact on the future of Football in Jordan."
The end of the third round presented
interesting rankings, as all the league's teams have now won one game and lost
one game.
The league's commissioner Hussam Yaseen said
that: "This was unexpected. Week three's results will definitely add more
pressure on all teams. Week 4 game will decide how the rest of the season will
continue."
