AMMAN — In a recent speech, president of the
Jordan Volleyball Federation (JVF) Princess Ayah
bint Faisal lauded the federation for its recent successes, hard work, and
overall improvement.

Her Highness
said that she wishes for these efforts to continue during Jordan’s next volleyball
season so that Jordanian volleyball “scores higher ranks.”
Thursday
marks the opening of Jordan’s 2021 volleyball season, kicking off with a Super
Cup match between Wadi Musa club and Hussain club.
“Everyone
was affected in the past period by the
COVID-19 pandemic, but cooperation among
the federation and our players, and their compliance with preventative measures,
has reflected their role in overcoming the crisis,” the princess said in the speech,
adding that “people’s safety is our priority and the next stage requires us to follow
safety measures to ensure a full return to practicing sports.”
Her Highness stated that the 2021 season will “witness many
events,” and JVF’s cooperation with national companies “promises big success.”
After
thanking national partners for their continued support, the princess announced that
the federation will participate in international tournaments in 2022.
The princess
also expressed hope that the youth national team’s participation in Tunis’ Arab
Tournament in August will bring more successes.
