AMMAN — The 31st
Jordan International Open Golf Championship will start on Thursday in Aqaba, with the
participation of 50 players representing 15 Arab and foreign countries.

The head of the Arab Referees Committee, Hani
Al-Abdallat, will be the main judge of the tournament, along with Majd Najada
and Shadi Jabaji. The tournament’s closing ceremony will be sponsored by the
head of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, Nayef Bakheet.
“The
organizing committees are working hard for the success of the tournament, as
part of their efforts to emphasize Jordan’s capabilities and competencies,”
said Hala Ghawi, a member of the Jordan Golf Federation, praising the great
efforts made by the Ayla Oasis Development Company and the Ayla Oasis Golf
Club.
