AMMAN — Saleh Al-Ghueiri, vice president and spokesperson of the
Jordan Gymnastics Federation, leaves for Turkey on Thursday to attend the international union’s meeting and represent Jordan in an election to choose a new president for the union.

Ghueiri said in an interview with Jordan News: “I will represent Jordan at the international union’s meeting, there are two presidential candidates, Japan’s Watanabi and Azerbaijan’s Faried. Some 120 countries affiliated with the union will be competing, whoever gets the highest votes will win the presidency for about three years.”
In addition, Ghuirir said that the national team will be participate in an international competition in Russia towards the end of November.
