AMMAN — The
national fencing team won six medals, two silver and four bronze medals,
at the Mediterranean Fencing Championship, hosted by the Jordanian Fencing
Federation, over the past three days.

Thirteen countries
were represented in the competition including Italy, Spain, France, Turkey,
Greece, Algeria, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, Oman, Yemen, and Jordan, 203
players were competing.
The player Baraa Al-Ashkar won the silver for the saber
weapon category, while the player Tania Awad won the bronze for the epee weapon
category, meanwhile player Tania Awad won the bronze for the epee weapon. All
in the U15 category.
Player Jana Abdeen won the bronze of the epee weapon,
and the player Limar Al-Zumar won the bronze of the saber weapon.
Player Iyad Odeh, Qusai Haboub, Abdullah Al-Tahla, and Osama
Al-Balawi, won the team bronze, and Abdullah Al-Tahla won the silver of the
saber weapon for the U20 category.
