Qarada wins gold medal in World Powerlifting Championship

AMMAN  — The national Paralympic team player Omar Qarada won the gold medal on Sunday in the World Powerlifting Championship, which is currently being held in Georgia. اضافة اعلان

Qarada took first place in the under 49kg category after he succeeded in his three attempts of lifting 174kg, leaving no chance to his Vietnamese opponent Lu Fan Kung but to take second place after he successfully lifted 170kg, and the Indian Paramjeet Kumar to take third place after lifting 158kg.

This is the second medal for the national team in the current championship, with Mohammad Al-Shnaiti taking the bronze medal for the category of under 49kg in junior competitions.
