Shelbayh, Rincon fall short at Wimbledon finals

AMMAN — Jordan’s Abedallah Shelbayh and his doubles partner Spain’s Daniel Rincon on Sunday lost the Wimbledon U18 finals against Lithuania’s Edas Butvillas and Spain’s Alejandro Manzanera Pertusa.اضافة اعلان

Butvillas and Manzanera managed to win with two sets to nil — (3-6), (4-6).

Shelabyh is the first Jordanian to participate in a grand slam tournament. He began this year’s Wimbledon run in the singles category, winning his first match against the Swedish Mans Dahlberg (4-6), (3-6), before losing in the second round to Bruno Kuzuhara from the US.

The Jordanian athlete qualified for this year’s Wimbledon Championships after making it through last year’s Roland-Garros Tournament.
