Kurdi was close to winning the title, but luck betrayed him in the last leg of the tournament, where he scored 17 and 18 — two strokes above the average, which prevented him from taking the lead and placed him third with 71 strokes.
This tournament is the last for Kurdi before entering the Asian competition next month, the Asia Pacific Championship, which will be held in Dubai where some of the most brilliant players of the game will be participating.
His father and coach Musa Al-Kurdi said that starting tomorrow, he will begin to prepare for this very important tournament, noting that Shergo had a strong desire to snatch the qualification card for the Masters Tournament and British Open championship.
It is recalled that Shergo had a historic breakthrough at the last edition of the
Asia Pacific Championship, which was held in Singapore, becoming the first Arab player to qualify and reach the final stages of the tournament.
