AMMAN — The national Paralympic Powerlifter Mohammad
Al-Shnaiti won a silver medal at the
Paralympic World Powerlifting Championship,
which is currently taking place at the Georgian capital Tbilisi.

According to the Jordan News Agency, Petra, Shnaiti took
second place for the under 49kg weight class in the junior’s category, and he won the silver medal by lifting 131kg. Iraqi
player Muslim Al-Sudani won the gold medal for the same class after lifting
154kg, Brazilian Lucas dos Santos came third by lifting 131kg.
Shnaiti will also
partake in the men’s weight class category competitions on Sunday, considering
that the men's weight class competitions lead to the qualification for the 2024
Olympic Games in Paris.
The previous
Tokyo Olympic golden medal holder Omar Qaradeh will compete on Sunday in the under
49kg weight category. Qaradeh is looking forward to improving and strengthening
his skills in order to win a gold medal at the World Championship.
