AMMAN — National boxer, Ziad Ishaish has nabbed his third victory at the
boxing championships being held in Belgrade, Serbia.

Ziad managed to beat Norwegian boxer Dan Emini in the under 71kg weight class.
Ishaish will fight Albanian boxer Alban Beqiri in the quarter-finals. If Ishaish wins, he will secure a medal by qualifying to the semi-finals, which will be the first medal in Jordan’s history at the World Boxing Championships.
Ishaish started off his run at the championship with a historic victory, beating Cuban boxer Roniel Iglesias, who is one of the world’s leading boxers.
After that, he achieved his second victory, beating Slovenian opponent Edin Sejdinovic.
Boxer Hussein Ishaish failed to qualify for the finals after he lost to Spanish-Cuban boxer Emmanuel Reyes in the under 92kg weight class. Boxer Udai Al-Hindawi also lost to Cuba’s Ruiz Herrish in the under 86kg weigh class.
