AMMAN — The Information and Communications
Technology Association of Jordan (Intaj), on Sunday discussed with President of
the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) Deemah Alyahya ways to develop the
Kingdom's telecom and information technology sector and the rising digitization
rate in all sectors.

In a press statement,
Intaj head Bashar Hawamdeh highlighted
the association's role and efforts in supporting the future of digitalization
in member countries, in addition to its endeavors to empower women, the youth,
and entrepreneurs, as well as develop the digital economy through
innovation-based development plans.
Alyahya, for her part, praised Intaj’s role in promoting the
sector's programs locally and abroad, lauding the private sector's efforts to
advance digital economy.
Established in November 2020, the DCO is an initiative that
brings under its umbrella Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman,
Pakistan, and Nigeria and seeks to share interests and ambitions regarding the
digital economy.
