Google is working on adding a new feature to its phone app that will improve the way calls are sorted on the device.
According to reports, the new feature will include several filters to categorize calls, ranging from spam calls to unknown callers.

This feature is currently only available to users of the Android beta version but will be gradually rolled out to all users at a later time.
Call Categorization
Instead of displaying all calls in a single list, users will soon be able to view their calls divided into multiple categories.
According to the reports, the calls will be categorized by type, such as: "All," "Missed," "Contacts," "Spam," and "Non-Spam."
This aims to simplify call management, allowing users to more easily find specific callers without needing to search through irrelevant numbers.
Part of a Larger Initiative
This tool is part of a broader set of features that Google has implemented in recent months to improve user comfort and reduce the number of spam calls received.
In addition to this new feature, Google previously introduced the "Call Screening" feature, which allows the "agentic" function to act as an intermediary between the caller and the receiver.
This helps the recipient decide whether to answer the call or not, as the Call Screening feature can identify the caller's name, the reason for the call, and can send a transcript of the conversation to the recipient.
When dealing with unknown numbers, it can also identify the caller and filter out unwanted calls using the reverse search tool.
