Meta, the owner of the instant messaging app WhatsApp, continues to roll out new features, and now it allows users to share animated images within chats, groups, and channels.

This feature was first spotted in the WhatsApp beta version for Android (2.25.8.12) and is currently available for testing by beta users through the Google Play Store. Animated images capture a few seconds of motion before and after the photo is taken, blending short video clips and sound with still images.
This feature makes images appear lively with stunning animations, but it is still under development for Android users. Apple device users will eventually see animated images as part of the Live Photos feature on WhatsApp for iOS.

WhatsApp is currently working on a new feature powered by artificial intelligence called "Rephrase." This tool will help users rewrite their messages in different styles, such as funny, grammatically correct, puns, sarcasm, and more.
