Prince Faisal bin Al-Hussein, president
of the Jordan Olympic Committee (JOC), chaired Thursday a committee board
meeting held in Al-Salam Hall in Al-Hussein Youth City, the Jordan News Agency,
Petra, reported.

The meeting covered achievements of various local sports
federations and national teams in 2022, including Jordan's participation in the
Islamic Solidarity Games in Konya, Turkey, and the winning of 12 medals,
including two gold medals, four silver medals, and six bronze medals.
The board meeting also approved the implementation of the
"Developing the Effectiveness of Sports Organization" project, which
was launched to institutionalize and develop the performance of sports
federations to ensure their sustainability and enhance the confidence of its
stakeholders and beneficiaries.
It also approved the minutes of the meetings of the
JOCExecutive Office and reviewed the JOC 2023 initial budget.
The meeting was attended by the President of the Royal
Jordanian Equestrian Federation HRH Princess Alia Bint Al-Hussein, Minister of
Youth Mohammad Nabulsi, Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Ahmed
Hanandeh, JOC VPs Sari Hamdan and Khaled Atiyat, JOC Secretary General
Naser Majali, and board members.
Prince Faisal lauded Jordan's "various national teams
sports achievements in 2022, and efforts of sports federations in serving
Jordanian sports".
