Amman – The Kingdom will experience relatively cold weather on Monday across most regions, while the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba will enjoy relatively warmer conditions.

Low-altitude clouds will dot the sky, with a slight chance of brief, light rain showers in northern areas during the afternoon. Winds will blow moderately from the southwest.
The Jordan Meteorological Department has issued warnings about reduced visibility in the early morning hours due to fog over high mountain areas and parts of the plains, along with the risk of frost formation in the highlands of the Sharah region.
On Tuesday, temperatures will see a slight uptick, hovering 2-3 C above the seasonal average. The weather will remain relatively cold in most regions but pleasantly warm in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with scattered high-altitude clouds. Winds will be light and northeasterly.
Wednesday’s weather pattern will hold steady with similar conditions, with relatively cold temperatures in most areas and warmer weather in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba, accompanied by high clouds. Winds will shift from moderate southeasterlies to northwesterlies by the afternoon.
A significant weather shift is expected on Thursday as a very cold polar air mass begins to impact the Kingdom, driven by a low-pressure system centered over Syria. Temperatures will drop sharply, bringing cold, partly cloudy to overcast skies. Rain showers are anticipated in northern and central regions, gradually extending to parts of the southwestern and eastern areas. Active westerly winds, occasionally gusting at high speeds, may stir up dust storms in desert regions.
Today’s maximum and minimum temperatures are as follows: East Amman 16-5C, West Amman 14-3C, northern highlands 12-3C, Sharah highlands 13-2C, desert areas 18-4C, plains 16-5C, northern Jordan Valley 23-9C, southern Jordan Valley 26-13C, Dead Sea 24-12C, and Aqaba 25-11C.
