Amman- Jordan is set to experience a slight rise in temperatures on Tuesday, with readings exceeding the seasonal average by 3-4 C. The Jordan Meteorological Department reported that the weather will be relatively cold, particularly in high-altitude areas, while warmer conditions are expected in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. High-altitude clouds will appear, and moderate southeasterly winds will prevail.

On Wednesday, temperatures will remain relatively cold in most regions, with warm conditions persisting in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. High-altitude clouds will continue to be present, while winds will shift from moderate southeasterly to northwesterly by the afternoon.
By Thursday, a very cold polar air mass associated with a low-pressure system centered over Syria will impact the country, leading to a significant drop in temperatures.
The weather will be cold and cloudy in most areas, with rainfall expected in northern, central, and parts of southwestern Jordan. Some showers may be heavy at times, while light rain is forecast in eastern regions. Strong westerly winds, with gusts exceeding 65 km/h in some areas, will cause dust storms in eastern and southeastern Jordan, reducing visibility.
By night, precipitation is expected to weaken, and wind speeds will decrease, with very cold conditions prevailing.
The cold spell will persist on Friday, with temperatures continuing to drop. The weather will be very cold and partly to mostly cloudy, with intermittent rain showers in northern and central regions.
By the evening, parts of southwestern Jordan may experience light showers. Westerly to northwesterly winds will remain strong, with gusts reaching 70 km/h in some areas, generating dust storms in eastern and southeastern regions.
Late at night and into early Saturday, there is a possibility of light snow mixed with rain over high mountain peaks.
According to the report, temperatures today are expected to range between 19 C and 8 C in East Amman, 18 C and 6 C in West Amman, 15 C and 7 C in the Northern Highlands, and 14 C and 5 C in Al-Sharah Highlands.
In the Badia regions, temperatures will range between 20 C and 6 C, while the Plains will see temperatures between 19 C and 9 C. The Northern Jordan Valley is expected to record 24 C to 11 C, the Southern Jordan Valley 26 C to 15 C, the Dead Sea 25 C to 14 C, and the Gulf of Aqaba 26 C to 13 C.
