Effect of the bitter polar air mass deepens Saturday, as temperatures continue to drop "significantly" and rain is forecast in the Kingdom's northern and central areas and limited parts of the east and southwest regions.

Additionally, light and spotty snow showers are expected for short periods that may accumulate "ineffectivey" over peaks, Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.
The JMD also warns in its report of the risk of low horizontal visibility due to fog and low clouds , especially over mountainous heights, as well as frost formation in the early morning and late night hours, and slippery roads.
On Sunday, another drop in mercury is expected with a weak chance of light and scattered snowfall in the Kingdom's western parts in the early morning hours.
As for Monday, light showers could fall in the early morning, while the mountainous heights will see limited snow showers.
Also today, temperatures in the capital Amman will hit a high of 6 degrees Celsius and a low of 1? , while the port city of Aqaba will see a a charming 81? during the day, sliding to 10? at night.
