The Kingdom will be gradually affected today, Wednesday, by a cold and moist air mass associated with a low-pressure system. Low clouds will appear, with a noticeable drop in temperatures. Winds will be moderate from the west, gradually intensifying by midday, leading to dust, especially in the desert areas.

By evening, cloud cover will increase, and rain is expected, God willing, in the northern parts of the Kingdom, gradually extending to the central areas. By late night, rain will reach parts of the southern regions. There is a possibility of heavy rain at times in the north, accompanied by thunder and hail. The northwesterly winds will also increase in strength.

The Jordan Meteorological Department warns in its report about the possibility of reduced visibility due to dust, particularly in desert areas, and the potential for flash floods in the northern parts of the Kingdom at night. There will also be a reduction in visibility during the night due to low clouds touching the ground in mountainous areas.

According to the report, the effect of the cold and moist air mass will intensify tomorrow, Thursday. There will be another noticeable drop in temperatures, and the weather will be cold and partly cloudy to cloudy, with occasional rain in the north and central parts of the Kingdom. The rain may occasionally extend to parts of the east and southwest of the Kingdom. Winds will be active from the west, with occasional strong gusts that may exceed 65 km/h in some areas, raising dust, especially in the east and southeast, leading to a significant reduction in visibility.

On Friday, temperatures will decrease slightly, and the weather will be cold and partly cloudy to cloudy at times. Scattered showers are expected in the western parts of the Kingdom. Winds will be moderate from the west, occasionally intensifying and raising dust in desert areas.

By Saturday morning, foggy conditions will prevail over the high mountainous areas. Temperatures will rise during the day, and the weather will be relatively cold in most areas, warming up in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Some low clouds will appear, and winds will be moderate from the northwest.

Maximum and minimum temperatures in East Amman today will range between 19°C and 8°C, in West Amman between 17°C and 6°C, in northern highlands between 15°C and 7°C, in Shara Mountains between 14°C and 5°C, in desert areas between 23°C and 6°C, in plains between 19°C and 9°C, in northern Jordan Valley between 29°C and 11°C, in southern Jordan Valley between 31°C and 13°C, in the Dead Sea between 30°C and 14°C, and in Aqaba between 31°C and 15°C.
