Raed Al-Khatib, Director of the Jordan Meteorological Department, confirmed that snow accumulation early next week is very likely according to weather monitoring.

Al-Khatib explained that the end of this week will witness rainfall, and snow is expected to begin falling on Friday/Saturday night, with increasing chances of accumulation on Saturday/Sunday night. He noted that the snow accumulation will vary across regions.
He added that snow will fall intermittently during Saturday and Sunday, not continuously.
Al-Khatib also indicated that the weather will be extremely cold, especially during the nighttime hours, with temperatures potentially dropping below freezing in some parts of the country.
He assured that the Meteorological Department will issue detailed reports regarding the impact of the weather system and areas expected to see snow accumulation based on elevation.
