GAZA – The
Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that only 800 injured individuals have
managed to leave the Gaza Strip for medical treatment since the start of the
Israeli aggression on
October 7. This number represents a fraction of the
approximately 70,000 total injuries.

Among those evacuated, 400 cancer
patients have left Gaza for treatment. However, the overall situation remains
dire, with more than 10,000 cancer patients still in need of medical attention,
Al-Mamlaka TV reported.
The ministry’s spokesperson, Ashraf
Al-Qidra, expressed concern about the evacuation process, stating that the
current system remains ineffective and allows for further harm to both wounded
and sick individuals.
The deliberate targeting of healthcare
facilities has exacerbated the crisis.
Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) have
damaged 150 hospitals, rendering 32 of them non-functional, along with 53
primary care centers. The IOF has systematically destroyed the health system in
the densely populated northern Gaza Strip.
In particular, the
Nasser Hospital, a
critical backbone of the healthcare system in southern Gaza, faces an Israeli
siege that has persisted for over 30 days.
Inside the Nasser Hospital, 25 medical
staff members, 150 patients, and wounded individuals remain. These patients are
unable to move and require urgent care. Tragically, eight patients who relied
on life support and artificial respiration have died due to oxygen shortages.
Despite the critical conditions, Israeli forces prohibit their removal from
patient rooms for burial.
The complex now faces severe
electricity, water, food, and
medical supply shortages. Piles of medical and
general waste accumulate in the hospital’s wards and patient rooms,
exacerbating the already dire situation.
To add insult to injury, the
destruction extends beyond hospitals. The IOF has destroyed 126 ambulances,
leaving only a few operational vehicles in Rafah. The situation is
catastrophic, with more than 150 medical personnel, including hospital
directors, arrested by the IOF in northern Gaza and Khan Yunis.
Additionally, Al-Amal Hospital,
affiliated with the
Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS), was targeted.
