GAZA — The United Nations Office for Humanitarian
Affairs warned on Thursday that "time is running out and access obstacles
to aid delivery persist in the Gaza Strip."

The office stated in a statement on its
official website that "more than 1.1 million people in Gaza face a severe
level of food insecurity," emphasizing that there is no alternative to
delivering aid by land to save lives, especially in northern Gaza."
Earlier, Ismail Al-Thawabta, the General
Manager of the Government Media Office in Gaza, warned that "the nightmare
of famine in northern Gaza will continue" if aid is not consistently
delivered.
He explained that the Gaza Strip needs aid to
be delivered by land, air, and sea, adding that what is currently being
delivered does not exceed 5% of the needs.
Al-Thawabta condemned the crime of closing the
border crossings with Gaza, urging to bypass the procedures imposed by the
occupation to impose its will on the Rafah crossing.
This comes as the occupation continued its
aggression on Gaza for over 170 days, targeting all aspects of life,
deliberately starving Gaza residents amid a suffocating siege exacerbated by
the closure of land crossings to aid.
Dozens of Gazans have fallen due to the
starvation imposed by "Israel," most of them children, while others
were killed by occupation fire while attempting to obtain flour.
In a preliminary toll, the number of victims
of the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza has risen to 32,490 fatalities and
74,889 wounded since October 7, 2023.
