GAZA — On Friday, the
UN initiated an emergency aid appeal, aiming to raise $1.2 billion to assist around 2.7 million
individuals in Gaza and the
Occupied West Bank.

"The estimated cost of addressing the
needs of 2.7 million people, including the entire population of Gaza and
500,000 in the
occupied West Bank, amounts to $1.2 billion," as stated by
the
Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (
OCHA), the Jordan News
Agency, Petra reported.
Previously, on October 12, OCHA had initially
requested $294 million in aid to support nearly 1.3 million people.
