Rifai told Al-Mamlaka TV on Monday that the Israeli government “is not abiding by the recent de-escalation agreements”, noting that, during the first quarter of 2023, six Palestinians were killed, 736 were arrested, and 117 demolitions took place in Jerusalem.

Extremist Israeli Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir has called on settlers to storm Al-Aqsa Mosque during the Jewish Passover holiday, which begins at sundown on Wednesday, the media advisor added.

What is new this year, according to Rifai, is that the Israeli government is at the forefront of those calling for storming the mosque.

Rewards for offeringsExtremist settler groups have also called on supporters to carry out a mass storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque during the Jewish Passover holiday, coinciding with a closure of all checkpoints from the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, as announced by the Israeli army.
During the first quarter of 2023, six Palestinians were killed, 736 were arrested, and 117 demolitions took place in Jerusalem.
The alleged “Temple Organization" and the "Returnto the Mount" movement have allocated significant funds to reward settlers who attempt to slaughter an offering at Al-Aqsa Mosque during the Jewish Passover. They have allocated 25,000 shekels (about JD5,000) for those who can slaughter an animal inside the mosque, and 2,500 shekels for activists who are arrested in the mosque in possession of an animal offering.
