GAZA – The head of the Gaza Government's
media office, Salama Marouf, said on Sunday that the days of calm in the Gaza
Strip revealed the extent of the large Israeli massacre committed by the
occupation, including in terms of infrastructure, residential units, or the
economic and commercial facilities.

As reported by Al-Mamlaka TV, Marouf said
that the occupation forces caused significant destruction to infrastructure and
homes by dropping 40,000 tonnes of explosives on the Strip. He pointed out that
the initial estimate of the direct losses caused by the Israeli aggression is
only $12 billion in terms of initial losses and damages to citizens' homes,
infrastructure, and economic facilities.
"We are only talking about direct
losses and damages, and we are talking about more than 5,000 vehicles destroyed
by the occupation during the aggression, and certainly the numbers are much
larger than what we were able to document and record,” he said.
Marouf revealed the need for the
construction of a large field hospital, explaining that Al-Shifa Hospital lacks
all the necessary capabilities and is no longer suitable for use.
He pointed out that the bombs recently used
by the occupation to strike the Gaza Strip have not been used before.
He said that the destruction caused by the
occupation reflects its desire to make Gaza uninhabitable.
"We are talking about an unprecedented
Israeli aggression that exceeded in its brutality everything we knew before in
terms of wars and aggressions waged by the enemy on the Gaza Strip.”
