GAZA — Palestinian medical sources announced on Monday the tragic death of two children due to malnutrition. This development brings the total number of victims of malnutrition to 27 Palestinians, underscoring the severity of the crisis, Al-Mamlaka TV reported.اضافة اعلان

The two children passed away at Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia, in northern Gaza, succumbing to malnutrition, dehydration, and a critical shortage of medical supplies. The situation in Gaza has been deteriorating rapidly, with humanitarian conditions reaching a critical point and pushing the region to the brink of famine.

Gaza Strip has been under relentless Israeli aggression since October 7, 2023, exacerbating an already dire situation. The ongoing war has resulted in severe shortages of food, water, medicine, and fuel, making life untenable for the Palestinian population.

As a consequence of the continuous hostilities, Palestinians, particularly those in the northern part and Gaza Strip, are facing acute food shortages, pushing them to the verge of starvation. The dire scarcity of essential resources has forced over 1.3 million Palestinians to flee from northern Gaza to the southern part, seeking refuge in areas like Rafah.

The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) has not only obstructed humanitarian aid from entering Gaza but has also targeted Palestinians awaiting the arrival of these crucial supplies. This deliberate targeting has led to the killing and injury of hundreds of individuals, further exacerbating the humanitarian crisis gripping the region.

Preliminary reports indicate that the death toll in the Gaza Strip has soared to 31,112 killed, with a significant number being children and women, whereas the number of injuries has surged to 72,760 since October 7.
