Global - Despite the Israeli occupation authorities' severe military measures on the mosque's gates and the entrances to the Old City in occupied Jerusalem, 30,000 worshipers performed Friday prayers in Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) said that the Islamic Awqaf Department in Jerusalem estimated that over 30,000 residents offered Friday prayer within Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Israeli occupation still forbid many locals from attending prayers and place tight limits on who is allowed to enter Al-Aqsa, particularly on Fridays and holidays.
Earlier, the occupation forces stormed Al-Aqsa during the Friday sermon and prayer, and prevented a large number of worshipers from entering it.
