AMMAN — Four Syrian soldiers were killed and one wounded on Saturday in Israeli air strikes on central and coastal areas of Syria, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

SANA reports that the Israeli army launched an "air aggression" over the Mediterranean at 6.30 am local time, targeting "some points" in Banias's central and coastal regions.
According to the report, Syrian anti-aircraft defenses intercepted the Israeli missiles, confirming that four soldiers were killed, one was injured, and material damage was caused by the attack.
The strike was the latest in a series that Israel said targeted Iranian and Hizbollah presence in Syria.
