AMMAN – On Thursday, 45 tonnes of medical tools and supplies
were sent to Gaza by The
United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) in
collaboration with the
Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO). This is
the third flight to Gaza since October 7.

The emergency aid includes medical tools and supplies,
encompassing medications, hospital equipment, and essential birthing materials
to support expectant mothers, as reported by Al-Mamlaka TV.
Olav Baker, UNRWA's Director of Affairs in Jordan, stated,
"We are committed to prioritizing and supporting the lives of
Palestinian refugees and providing humanitarian aid to those in need in Gaza."
He highlighted that these efforts are part of the agency's
dedicated work to address
urgent humanitarian needs in Gaza, noting the
generous support from donors.
Hussein Shibli, Secretary-General of JHCO, affirmed the
organization's collaboration in mobilizing and coordinating necessary efforts
to support the people in Gaza, especially in the healthcare sector to alleviate
the suffering of the wounded and injured.
Shibli emphasized that this aid reaffirms UNRWA's steadfast
commitment to supporting the lives of Palestinian refugees. The agency is
diligently working to establish additional land routes to ensure the swift
delivery of humanitarian aid from Jordan to Gaza residents.
