8,941 students killed in Israeli war, says Palestinian Health Ministry
Ramallah - Some 8,941 Palestinian students have been killed and 14,894 others injured in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank since Israel launched its war on October 7, the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education said Tuesday.اضافة اعلان

It said in a statement that 8,840 students were killed and 14,389 injured in Gaza, and 101 were killed and 505 others were injured in the West Bank, in addition to 357 who were arrested by the Israeli occupation army.

The ministry also said 497 teachers and school staff were killed and 3,426 injured in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, and more than 111 were arrested in the West Bank.

It said that 353 government schools and universities, including 65 run by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Refugees (UNRWA), were bombed and vandalized in the Gaza Strip, 139 of them being severely damaged and 93 completely destroyed.

The ministry also said 69 schools and 5 universities in the West Bank were raided and vandalized, and 133 government schools were used as shelters in the Gaza Strip.

About 620,000 Gaza students have been deprived of education since the start of the aggression, and many suffer trauma and face difficult health conditions, according to the ministry.
