AP Report: U.S. Tech Companies Secretly Aided Israel
An investigation by the Associated Press revealed that major U.S. tech companies secretly provided Israel with a massive boost in artificial intelligence (AI) and computing services. This enabled Israel to track and kill larger numbers of individuals it claimed were militants in Gaza and Lebanon.اضافة اعلان

The report, published Tuesday, highlighted the growing concerns over the use of such technologies in the deaths of innocent civilians as the death toll among civilians rises.

The investigation pointed to a significant increase in Israel's use of technologies from Microsoft and OpenAI since October 7, 2023.

An Israeli intelligence officer was quoted saying that young officers are under pressure to find targets quickly, often leading to mistakes. The officer stated, "We saw targeting errors related to AI due to inaccurate translations," noting that these systems mistakenly identified high school students as potential militants.

The investigation was based on documents, data, and interviews with current and former Israeli officials, including three reserve intelligence officers, as well as employees of Microsoft, OpenAI, Google, and Amazon.
