AMMAN — Palestinian President
Mahmoud Abbas received Jordan’s General Intelligence Department Director
Maj. Gen. Ahmad Husni and Egyptian Intelligence Chief Abbas Kamel on Tuesday in
Ramallah, according to Saraya News.

Hosni and his Egyptian counterpart conveyed
to Abbas a message of solidarity from His Majesty King Abdullah and Egyptian
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, emphasizing support for Abbas, Palestine, and
its people, and keenness on security and stability in the region.
For his part, Abbas stressed the importance
of continuing coordination with the Egyptian and Jordanian sides and thanked
them for their efforts to stand by the Palestinian people and their just cause.
The meeting was attended by Secretary of
the PLO Executive Committee Hussein Al-Sheikh and Head of the Palestinian
General Intelligence Service Maj. Gen. Majed Faraj.
Also on Tuesday, US Secretary of State
Anthony Blinken arrived in Ramallah to meet with Abbas, media outlets reported.
Blinken and the Palestinian president are
scheduled to discuss developments in the region in the face of the continued
Israeli escalation against the Palestinian people, as well as bilateral
relations.
