Ahed Tamimi, considered a hero in the occupied West Bank since her teenage years, was released along with 29 other prisoners by Israel early Thursday.

Gaza truce between Israel and Hamas. Tamimi, arrested earlier this month on suspicion of inciting violence, was released from
Damon Prison near the Israeli city of Haifa, Al-Jazeera, Reuters reported. Her mother denies the allegation, stating it was based on a fake social media post.
Tamimi gained attention in 2017 when, at 16, she confronted an Israeli soldier in her West Bank village of Nabi Saleh, known for protesting Israeli land seizures.
