The Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, condemned the terrorist attack that attempted to target the convoy of Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, carried out by the Al-Shabaab terrorist group in Mogadishu.اضافة اعلان

The Arab League reiterated its full support and solidarity with the Federal Republic of Somalia in its fight against terrorism and all forms of extremism. It called for increased international efforts to eradicate terrorism at its roots and cut off its funding sources.

In a similar stance, the President of the Arab Parliament, Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Yamahi, strongly condemned the attempted assassination of President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, which resulted from an explosion during his convoy's passage, leading to casualties and injuries.

Al-Yamahi expressed the Arab Parliament's full solidarity with Somalia in this critical time, rejecting all forms of terrorism that seek to destabilize the security and stability of the Arab region.

He extended heartfelt condolences and sincere sympathies to the Somali government, people, and the families of the victims, praying for a speedy recovery for the injured.
