Addressing the longstanding unresolved Palestinian issue,
President Xi emphasized the need to bring justice to the Palestinian people,
who have endured significant suffering for over 50 years.
The key points of the proposal are as follows:The establishment of an independent and fully sovereign
State of Palestine, based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem designated
as its capital.
Meeting the economic and living needs of Palestine, with
intensified development and humanitarian assistance from the international
community.
Ensuring the correct direction of peace talks by respecting
the historical status quo of the holy places in Jerusalem and avoiding
excessive and provocative language or actions.
President Xi called for the convening of a large-scale and
influential international peace conference to create favorable conditions for
the resumption of peace talks. He emphasized that this initiative would
facilitate tangible efforts in supporting peaceful coexistence between
Palestine and Israel.
Furthermore, President Xi said: "China is ready to play
a positive role to help Palestine achieve internal reconciliation and promote
peace talks."
By putting forth this comprehensive plan, China seeks to
contribute to the resolution of the Palestinian issue and alleviate the
suffering endured by the Palestinian people.
