GAZA
– On Wednesday, Hisham Mhana, the spokesperson for the
International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), said that delivering aid to or reaching northern Gaza
has become impossible due to extreme danger and the targeting of main roads.

Mhana,
empathized that performing humanitarian tasks in current conditions is nearly
impossible. He pointed out that the crisis in southern Gaza is as severe as
that in the north Al-Mamlaka TV reported.
"We warned about this from the
early hours when hospitals turned into
war zones and cemeteries”– ICRC.
He
also highlighted the critical situation at
Al-Shifa Medical Complex, and that
any hostile operations around hospitals must consider civilians, medical teams,
patients, the wounded, and especially the vulnerable women and children. They
are entitled to special protection according to international humanitarian law,
and laws of war must be respected and enforced.
Mhana
added that thousands of trapped residents in Gaza reach out for help. Some
reported tragic losses, forcing them to bury family members at home or seal off
rooms due to the inability to leave amidst the fighting. He called for
immediate and absolute protection for civilians, allowing them to exit safely.
"Our teams face extremely
challenging conditions, experiencing what the people in Gaza are going
through," ICRC.
Mhana
also said that “Our teams in ICRC face extremely challenging conditions,
experiencing what the people in Gaza are going through. We attempted to reach
northern Gaza to deliver medical supplements and humanitarian aid or even
evacuate the wounded from some hospitals like Al-Shifa and Al-Quds hospitals.
Unfortunately, we found ourselves in extreme danger.”
