On Thursday, groups of extremist Jewish settlers stormed the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque – the Noble Sanctuary in occupied Jerusalem, entering from the Moroccan Gate under heavy protection from Israeli occupation forces. This coincided with the beginning of the Jewish "Purim" holiday.

The "Purim" holiday, which started on Thursday, will last until Sunday, March 16.
The Islamic Endowments Department in Jerusalem stated in a press release that dozens of zealous settlers entered Al-Aqsa under the guard of Israeli occupation police, carrying out provocative tours in the courtyards, receiving explanations about the alleged "Temple" and performing ritual Talmudic acts near the Dome of the Rock before withdrawing from the courtyards through the Chain Gate.
The so-called "Temple" organizations and settler groups exploit Jewish holidays to intensify their incursions into Al-Aqsa, performing Talmudic rituals in clear and repeated violations of the sanctity of the mosque.
In parallel with the settlers' incursions, Israeli occupation forces impose strict measures on Muslim worshipers entering Al-Aqsa, tightening security at its gates, while continuing their policy of banning prominent figures, as well as male and female activists, from entering the mosque in an attempt to empty it.
It is noteworthy that the incursions of settlers into Al-Aqsa have not stopped since the beginning of Ramadan, with the Israeli police designating the hours between 7 and 11 in the morning for these incursions.
Settlers storming the mosque daily are keen to perform the "heroic prostration" ritual, and continue their Talmudic rituals and public collective prayers in the courtyards and at the gates of the mosque.
