CAIRO — On Saturday, North Sinai Governor
Mohamed Abdel Fadil Shousha announced that the Egyptian Armed Forces are
currently establishing a logistical area in the Egyptian city of Rafah to
receive aid for the Gaza Strip. This aims to alleviate the burden on drivers,
reduce truck congestion in Arish, and facilitate the work of the Egyptian Red
Crescent (ERC).

Shousha stated that the area under construction
includes truck waiting areas, secured warehouses, administrative offices, and
sleeping quarters for drivers, with provisions for livelihoods and electricity,
Khaberni reported.
An Egyptian security source also informed the
Arab World Press Agency on Saturday that the constructions in Rafah, on the
border with the strip, are large-scale logistic warehouses for storing
humanitarian aid, medicines, and fuel destined for Gaza.
In case of displacement from the strip to
Sinai, the source denied the establishment of camps to accommodate
Palestinians, reaffirming Egypt's stance against allowing their displacement to
Sinai.
