FedEx launches regional economy services in the Middle East

These cost-effective road services cater to non-urgent shipments within key Middle East countries—Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. They utilize the Middle East Road Network (MERN) for secure transportation and real-time tracking via fedex.com. These door-to-door economy road services are customs-cleared and cater to shipments up to 68kg with FedEx® Regional Economy and above 68kg with FedEx® Regional Economy Freight. Customers across industries can benefit from these services, from automotive to healthcare. The services offer cost savings without compromising reliability and come with digital tools for streamlined cross-border deliveries.



Taarek Hinedi, VP of FedEx Express Middle East and Africa operations, highlighted the focus on day-definite delivery over immediate speed. The launch of Regional Economy services aims to provide differentiated shipping solutions that add value and support business growth in the region.

With the Middle East and North Africa GDP projected to grow steadily at a 3.1% CAGR over 2023-2028, the services align with increasing business needs for robust logistical support.
