GAZA — Salama Marouf, the head of the government media office in Gaza, reported that Israeli Occupation Forces have demolished 5,500 residential buildings, amounting to 14,200 housing units. Additionally, approximately 133,370 housing units sustained partial damage, with 10,127 now declared uninhabitable. The occupation forces have also razed 62 government buildings and caused significant damage to numerous public and service facilities.اضافة اعلان

It is crucial to emphasize that the occupation persists in targeting educational institutions, with 160 schools suffering varying degrees of damage, and 19 schools forced out of service.

According to the latest data from the Palestinian Ministry of Health, nearly 3,000 individuals have lost their lives, and over 12,500 others have been injured, as reported by Al-Mamlaka TV.

Regarding the Rafah crossing, Marouf called for its permanent opening as a gateway for the wounded, injured, and much-needed humanitarian aid throughout Gaza. He cautioned against any consideration of directing aid and supplies exclusively to the southern areas of Gaza, which he deemed a clear collaboration with the occupier's plan and an attempt to achieve what the occupier failed to do through bombing, destruction, and psychological warfare.

He also reiterated the importance of UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency) fulfilling its responsibilities throughout all areas of the Gaza Strip and not shirking its duty towards half of the displaced population in Gaza, including those in the Gaza and northern regions.
