CAIRO — On Wednesday,
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi stated that Cairo will not permit the resolution of the Palestinian issue, emphasizing its extreme danger. Sisi maintained that the ongoing events in Gaza do not constitute action against Hamas but rather an effort to compel the local population to leave.

During a joint press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz,
Sisi clarified that the current situation in Gaza is an attempt to encourage civilians to seek refuge and migrate to Egypt. He further elaborated that if Palestinians were displaced from Gaza to Egypt, it would be followed by the displacement of Palestinians from the West Bank to Jordan, Al Ghad reported.
Sisi emphasized the paramount importance of the
Palestinian issue, describing it as the core of all concerns with a significant impact on regional security and stability. He pointed out that Cairo has been supporting the establishment of an unarmed Palestinian state for years.
