GAZA CITY — The
Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza has issued an urgent appeal for emergency medical assistance pointing to critical shortages in medical supplies and fuel needed to provide
power to hospitals. It said that a humanitarian crisis is now being felt by over two million residents in the besieged strip and appealed for civil defense staff to be sent from
Arab and Muslim countries to help in the search and rescue efforts, especially in demolished buildings destroyed by Israel where scores of victims are believed to be trapped under the rubble.
