AVIV — On Wednesday,
Benny Gantz, a member of the Israeli Occupation’s War
Cabinet, acknowledged on his X page that Israel’s war on Gaza has inflicted a
heavy, painful, and difficult toll on the occupation. He emphasized, “Everyone
who falls is a scar on the entire State of Israel, and every such scar is a
reminder of the heroism of our warriors.”

The
Israeli Occupation Forces revealed details of an ambush targeting a colonel
officer and soldiers in a Shuja'iya neighborhood battle in the Gaza Strip.
According
to the Israeli Occupation Forces, the battle on Tuesday lasted about 3 hours. A
force from Battalion 53, part of the
Golani Brigade, entered a building complex,
falling into an ambush triggered by an explosive device at one of the doors.
This resulted in injuries to four soldiers and the loss of contact, suggesting
the force may have been captured, Khaberni reported.
The
IOF radio reported, "As another force from the 669 Rescue Unit advanced,
it faced fire from Hamas fighters, leading to the immediate death of two unit
members."
Continuing,
the radio stated, "Subsequently, another force from the
Golani Brigade, led
by Colonel Isaac Ben Bashat, advanced, engaging in fierce clashes that resulted
in the colonel's death during the incident." However, some conflicting
reports showed that the Israeli announcement came from the northern Gaza Strip,
not in its southern part, where the occupation forces had said just days ago
that their operations were about to conclude.
The
toll of
Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) has reached 444 officers and soldiers since
October 7.
