TEL AVIV— The General Federation of Labor in
Israel stated that half of the workers at Eilat Port would lose their jobs due to
the crisis in Red Sea shipping lines and Houthi attacks.

Situated at the northern tip of the Red Sea,
Eilat was among the first ports impacted as shipping companies redirected
vessels to evade attacks by the Houthis, Khaberni reported.
Notably,
the Houthis have been targeting cargo ships in the Red Sea that are owned or
operated by Israeli companies or are transporting goods to and from Israel in
solidarity with the Gaza Strip.
