Hamas and Jihad to Release Prisoners Today as Part of the Sixth Batch

Hamas and Islamic Jihad are set to release Israeli prisoners in Gaza on Saturday as part of the sixth batch under the Gaza agreement and prisoner exchange deal.اضافة اعلان

On Friday, Hamas announced that it would release detainees Sasha Alexander Turbanov, Sagi Dekel Han, and Yair Horn.

Meanwhile, the military wing of Islamic Jihad, Al-Quds Brigades, confirmed that it would release the Israeli prisoner with Russian citizenship, Alexander Turbanov.

In return, 36 Palestinian prisoners serving life sentences will be released, along with 333 prisoners from Gaza who were detained after October 7, 2023.

The ceasefire agreement came into effect on January 19, following more than 15 months of war in Gaza. The deal stipulates the release of detainees held in Gaza in exchange for Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli prisons.
